マックスのところにメールで送られた返事を、そのまま、つまりは英語のまま僕に転送されてきました。
マックスいわく、とてもいい言葉なのでこのまま送ります。

which is time consuming and costly but if not done the quality of our production drops.
Some of the farmers have done so much to get the word out about the great quality of Ka'u coffee but other farmers try to depend on the work of others while trying to get by doing very little to control CBB causing quality problems for large shipments. So for now we can only guarantee the quality of our own farm's coffee or farms that work with Max to ensure
quality control.
On my farm we try to keep up to date with the latest technology, such as having a on site
weather station that monitors many different items such as rain fall, ground moisture, solar
radiation and 5 other items. Each year we have our soils and leaf tissue samples tested by a laboratory and have a soils and plant specialist give us recommendations for fertilizers
and other plant nutrients that are required. By following these guidelines we have each year increased our crop yields while improving cupping quality. Max has been instrumental in
bringing to us items that have been developed in Japan to aid or plant health and yields.

子供が健やかに成長出来るように、社会に出ても立派にやっていけるように、親としてしてあげられることは、何でもする。
お金もかけるし、科学的アプローチも試みる。あれがいいと聞けば海外からそれを取り寄せる。
そして大きく育っていく子供を見るのが、とても幸せなんだよ。
そんなジョンさんの愛がいっぱいつまった言葉だと思う。
確かに、利益は大事。
実際、お金も手間もたいしてかけないで収量だけ増やせば、利益も増える。
だけど品質にこだわるのは、カウコーヒーを、我が子を、愛しているからだろう。
ここで、
感動していた僕に１つの不安が生まれる。
そんな大事に育て上げたカウコーヒーを、

そのことを誰よりも知っているのは、
